5 Signs it is Time to Get a VA
Is it time to get a Virtual Assistant? Maybe you’ve been wondering but you’re just not sure?
There will be signs that it is time to get a Virtual Assistant which may be feelings based, time based or dream based. This blog explores 5 of those signs.
Stress
You’re stopping work at the end of your hours but you’re still carrying it all around. We all feel stress in different ways. Stress has a physical and emotional impact on you as a person which then will affect you as a business owner. Stress is often caused by workload but can also be caused by doing things that don’t come naturally to us or from lack of rest. Stress can also be caused by overwhelm….
Overwhelm
When ‘arrrrgggghhhh’ becomes an internal monologue it’s probably a sign of overwhelm and sometimes it’s only when you find yourself shouting at the washing machine that you realise that there are 15 things that have happen before that which have caused you to shout. That feeling will affect both your business life and your personal life. In business that feeling will likely have a HUGE impact on your ability to complete tasks and grow your business.
Working longer hours
Perhaps you’ve found yourself working more hours than you wanted to? You took the risk to become self-employed so that you could be more flexible with life but have found that you are losing that flexibility because work is creeping into more hours a day than you preferred. This could be linked with the overwhelm we mentioned above and finding it hard to start working or complete work but it also could be because you’ve built a successful business and you just have a lot of work to do. What a fun, but also difficult situation to be in.
Unable to innovate
To innovate takes time, mental space and energy. How long is your list of things that you want to get done ‘when you have some time’? Does that list just continually get longer because that time to innovate never appears? When you are stuck in the depth of business administration, customer services and marketing the consequences are likely to stop you from creating the dreams and ideas that you have had meaning you can’t innovate in your business.
Wanting to grow
It may be that you’ve hit a wall where you wish to grow your business but you cannot because you do not have enough time to meet with 1-1 with clients or create more products. It may be that your time is taken up working IN your business which leaves no time to work ON your business. There is only one you. FACT. You have limited time. Limited energy. Wanting to grow but not having more time to work can be extremely frustrating as a thriving business owner.
How can a Virtual Assistant help?
It might be that you find yourself experiencing one or many of the above in your business. None are good places to be and all have the potential to take away the joy you feel in running your business.
Getting help can support you to grow and thrive. Whilst the traditional model would be to get an employee, perhaps part time, this is costly and some times complicated.
As Virtual Assistant when you work with me you know the exact financial outlay and I deal with areas around tax and insurances within my business as Virtual Assistant which can often feel like a new level of stress or overwhelm at a time when you may already be feeling that.
